An electrical cord recall by Bosch was made on our dishwasher and Reliable Appliance was recommended to do the replacement cord. From contacting Reliable to completion of the replacement, everything went as promised. Xavier was extremely professional and careful during set-up and clean-up! I had the pleasure of having Shannon service my dryer and he was amazing! He called before he arrived. He explained everything that needed to be done and he did it. He took his time to make sure my dryer issues were resolved but didn't take ALL DAY. He informed me on how to maintain and extend the life of my appliances. I mean he even showed me something new about my washer and I've had it for 2 years! Most of all he didn't track snow in my house! That's a biggie. Did a good job. Our refrigerator was chronically freezing food. We called Reliable. They scheduled an appointment, made a robo-call day before to indicate 3 hour time block they'd appear, and repairman called 30 minutes in advance to give exact arrival time. They showed up on the dot, and were very professional and friendly. Repairman determined it was likely a problem with an overly full refrigerator impeding airflow along the back wall. He explained how the freezer-refrigerator worked, advised on loading, and plugged a couple of 3/4 inch circulation holes with putty to reduce freezer-to-refrigerator airflow. The bill was 89 for service call, 48 for labor, and 26 for the putty. Only thing I'd have liked different was to be given option of buying plumber's putty myself and saving about 22 dollars. Aside from that, I couldn't ask for a more professional, courteous service call.read more

I called Reliable Appliance to fix my dishwasher and my refrigerator. After a small snafu where my message to them got lost, they got back to me as soon as they found it and scheduled a visit at my convenience. The technician who came to my home was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. Not only did he fix both appliances, he helpfully gave me tips on how to extend the life of both and showed me how to clean the filter on my dishwasher. He explained the "why" behind the trouble with the fridge and how he solved it. He was thorough and fast and very polite. Reliable Appliance in Anchorage is top notch in service and professionalism. Modern web based booking is convenient, and the communication with the service tech was great! Paul showed up within in the time window that was told to me, and he called twice, once in the morning to confirm the time slot, and once again when he was on his way. I have and older washing machine that is giving error messages. Paul quickly diagnosed the problem, and offered suggestions on fixing it. Since the machine isn't under warranty, as I feared, the replacement parts and labor would be too costly, so a recommendation for replacement was given. Paul felt bad, so he thought of some ways to fix it, but our family was already set on replacement before he came. Paul's knowledge is uncanny, and his professional demeanor is reassuring. Reliable Appliance in Anchorage is wonderful with their service and professionalism. My three year old dishwasher recently stopped working, I called Reliable and was able to get an appointment for the next day. I was given a three hour window of when the repair technician would show up. Paul called twice before arriving, once was in the morning to confirm the my appointment, and the second time was when he was on his way. Paul arrived well within thr three hour window I was given. He was very courteous; introduced himself right away, as well as greeted my two children and dog. Paul was able to quickly diagnosed the problem with my dishwasher, and left a message for my husband who is out of town explaining the issue. Paul's knowledge was wonderful, and his professionalism was highly appreciated. Great Service. Fast response times. I had a big problem with a dishwasher. I had put several hours into it before calling the pros. Reliable ended up hauling it to their shop. It took them a couple weeks to fix it. This may sound like a negative review, but it's not. Some repairs are just harder to solve than a simple replacement of broken parts. The best! I found your business on Home Advisor the morning (June 12) my washing machine quit. The reviews about your service were all good, but the first appointment listed on Home Advisor was a week away. I called Sears (the machine was a 14-year-old Kenmore) and was given an appointment by the week's end. Then that afternoon, I was contacted directly by Reliable and had an appointment the next morning. The technician on the phone thought the problem might be in the door lock, based on the message on the washer. That morning I had a text from someone at Reliable asking the model number from the door, which I texted. Darin arrived as scheduled, with the correct door mechanism for my model, which wasn't the cure; the electronic mother board would need to be replaced. He explained the cost, etc. I asked him to order the part, which would take a week or more to arrive. I was in a time crunch as I was leaving town the next week, before the part would probably arrive. However, I got a call Monday that the part was in (only 3 business days later). Darin came today (June 20), replaced the part, ran the washer through a cycle to make sure that everything worked properly. Yay, the washer is fixed! I am delighted on all fronts. I was impressed with the initial outreach and diagnosis. The woman who took my calls & handles scheduling was great. The part arrived so much faster than expected. The repairman Darin was knowledgeable, competent, courteous and pleasant. If I have any other appliance issues, I will be calling Reliable! I will also recommend Reliable to my friends. Thank you. These guys likely do a good job, but they are no different from any other contractor when it comes to timeliness. Promised completion and install of part during initial conversation. Took payment, came to house and then realized they did not have required part. Instead of calling or even letting us know while on site, they left. After a week of waiting, called and asked for update as to why job was not completed during initial visit and was told part was not in and it would be a couple of weeks. I told them that was not satisfactory given the circumstances. They basically said suck it - no apology or discount for poor service. Came back 2 weeks later, installed part with nothing as much as an "I am sorry that you went a month without a properly running refrigerator". Terribly handled - Please give other companies your business. No need to go to first one available on google. Customer Service is part of the contracting business!read more

However, I will say the I put the claim in with Lowe's and they booked a time, I called Reliable and left a message indicating that I put in a ticket with no call back. Called again the next day and told me they did not have any ticket and were a little rude about it. The company name is a misnomer...should be called “Anything But” Reliable. We have dealt with them in the past, not by choice, and are now being forced to use them again. Have had them “fix” appliances in the past, with unsatisfactory results. When they can’t or don’t repair appliances they’ll try to sell you one of their “refurbished” appliances, which seem to be appliances that are frankensteined together with mismatched parts that don’t work properly. Then when they don’t work they want another service call fee to come out and not fix it properly and try to sell you another...it’s a cycle of separating people from their money, one service call and junk appliance at a time.read more

Everything went really smooth with reliable appliance. I had a very nice woman call me and set a day that worked for me. She told me that my technician would give me a ring the day of and another ring when he was on his way. Paul did just that he was extremely professional and kind. He gave me a call first thing in the morning and let me know about what time he would be by my house. He was punctual and kept to the time he said he would be by I really appreciated that. The tech was very nice and explained how the HE washing machines are horrible. DO NOT buy any LG washer without a center agitator. It does not cover the clothes with water so they do not get washed. It even says they don't get covered with water in the manual under problems. How can you wash clothes if they do not get wet. ALL HE washers only use a dab of water under Normal cycle to save water but that is BS as you need water to wash clothes. It is not "dry cleaning" of the clothes sloshing them around in the air above the water.read more

The service was excellent and highly recommended! Xavier was quick and fixed an annoying dishwasher leak. He was friendly and personable like an old friend, explained the issues and what was needed to be done when he first came out. He explained everything again when he returned with the part so I was always aware of what he was doing, which is refreshing. He has worked on an older stove in the house that is still running great. --Update-- Once I got ahold of the business, they did good repair work and honored my home warranty for my dishwasher. Ended up working out. It was a pain initially to get them to schedule my appointment, but they called me, apologized, and said they fired the guy who was the problem. My experience ended up pretty good. Had an issue with the microwave over our stove and we couldn't figure it out. I requested an appointment online over the holidays and received a call as soon as they were open for business. Scheduling was easy and they gave me a convenient 3 hour time frame. Great communication from both the office and the tech! Very respectful of our house, wore booties to keep the snow out. I just took my dryer that I've had rolling around in the back of my truck for a week and a half because I didn't want to pay $16 at the dump to get rid of it. Reliable appliance has some amazing employees in the back that took it out of the back of my truck for free and I didn't have to do anything except pull up to the door and open my tailgate.
