We have used Reliable several times in the past. They are professional and have always done good work. The only ding to Reliable, and it can be avoided, is their online scheduling. I highly recommend skipping it. I scheduled an appoint for two days later. I received no confirmation other than to say I was awaiting a confirmation and to call if one did not arrive. Called and when my appointment can be scheduled is 19 days away. They definitely have not worked their online scheduling out so just skip it, call, and wait in the cue. They are worth the wait.read more

Awesome customer service and an amazing technician. They were amazing about scheduling my appointment even though I had to reschedule it twice due to being out of town and forgotten appointments. The woman I talk to on the phone was awesome and completely understanding and not frustrated with me at all. And the technician came out and was able to fix the problem within 45 minutes even with the limited space in my laundry room. he only had about a foot and a half to work with to do the repair. He was super polite and did an awesome job!! Even vacuumed and cleaned the inside of my dryer for me! Which after six years it probably very much needed it. From the initial call I received from the office, everyone at Reliable whom I dealt with was extremely nice, helpful and professional....over and beyond doesn't seem to say enough. Paul came out to determine why my dryer caught fire! He was very professional and I could not have asked for a better experience. He found the problem, literally in the first 60 seconds and repaired the dryer in no time! I believe the prices were more than reasonable, especially for Anchorage. We have used Reliable many times over the last 12 years for our rental business, and although we have had varied results on occasion, I can say that sometimes they really do impress me. Just recently, I scheduled a commercial laundry service on some coin-operated dryers that weren't drying properly. The technician, whose name was Emmanuel, was FANTASTIC. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and even took the time to explain what I should be looking for / doing as an owner in my maintenance. I was blown away. It wasn’t all unicorns and rainbows but in the end I am very happy with my service. There was a 6 week delay where it seems my work order fell through the cracks multiple times, there is definitely an issue with competence and professionalism at the reception area, but Paul came out yesterday and did a wonderful job getting my fridge back on track. Not to mention, he revived my washing machine which another repair company told me to replace (would have been a major headache and very expensive). Overall, my experience in the last 24 hours with this company was 10 stars, which ultimately helped me to forget some of the hassle of the last 6 weeks. While I was on hold for a service call to fix our aging refrigerator, I browsed Reliable's scratch-and-dent selection. There was a terrific new unit in stock with a barely-noticeable scratch on one of the lower sides. I made a service appointment just in case, but transferred to scratch-and-dent where (super-friendly) Terrance suggested we come in first thing the next morning to check it out. He was there, facilitated the transaction quickly, and we were out the door in no time flat. The team came to pull the old fridge out (no extra charge, compared to $30 fee charged by Home Depot or Lowe's!) and we were all set in less than two business days. Logan (General manager) and his staff at reliable appliance are top notch. We have had are refrigerator and dishwasher repaired by them and they have done an exceptional job. The first repair to the refrigerator and this was no fault of reliable appliance but the home warranty we have on our properties failed to route the part up here in a timely manner that resulted in our refrigerator being down for over 6 weeks. So found their add on craigslist for reliable used refrigerators, went to showroom, looked around and purchased a used unit. Double checked with the salesman, "we wont have any issues with this unit correct, its going to Homer in a rental unit" we where assured they go thru all units thoroughly. Got it down to Homer, as we took it off the truck, the cooling fins where literally 95 % clogged with dust and pet hair. We cleaned it and installed the unit, worked good for two weeks, then started to freeze the refrigerator side. Called Reliable Appliance about issue, they could not come to Homer to fix it , but with a little bit of coaxing, Logan one of the owners made things right by refunding our money. So, I ask the tech if it was possible to sort of add an appliance onto my appointment.... He said not a problem and called to onto my ticket. The tech was very nice and explained how the HE washing machines are horrible. DO NOT buy any LG washer without a center agitator. It does not cover the clothes with water so they do not get washed. It even says they don't get covered with water in the manual under problems. How can you wash clothes if they do not get wet. ALL HE washers only use a dab of water under Normal cycle to save water but that is BS as you need water to wash clothes. It is not "dry cleaning" of the clothes sloshing them around in the air above the water.read more

Calvin and Lennon arrived right at the start of the time block they had provided me with. They were prepared to get the job done, even when the initial drain hose wasn't the right size they had a smaller hose in their truck that allowed the installation to go along smoothly. They did a great job getting the washer and dryer installed and testing them to make sure all the functions were working. The additional installation fee was definitely worth it.read more

Why buy new when you can pay almost half the cost for the same things slightly used! Tons of inventory all with a 6 month warranty from trained technicians who also do the warranty work on new machines from Home Depot, Lowes and Best buy. I wish I had found out about this place sooner!!read more

The best! I found your business on Home Advisor the morning (June 12) my washing machine quit. The reviews about your service were all good, but the first appointment listed on Home Advisor was a week away. I called Sears (the machine was a 14-year-old Kenmore) and was given an appointment by the week's end. Then that afternoon, I was contacted directly by Reliable and had an appointment the next morning. The technician on the phone thought the problem might be in the door lock, based on the message on the washer. That morning I had a text from someone at Reliable asking the model number from the door, which I texted. Darin arrived as scheduled, with the correct door mechanism for my model, which wasn't the cure; the electronic mother board would need to be replaced. He explained the cost, etc. I asked him to order the part, which would take a week or more to arrive. I was in a time crunch as I was leaving town the next week, before the part would probably arrive. However, I got a call Monday that the part was in (only 3 business days later). Darin came today (June 20), replaced the part, ran the washer through a cycle to make sure that everything worked properly. Yay, the washer is fixed! I am delighted on all fronts. I was impressed with the initial outreach and diagnosis. The woman who took my calls & handles scheduling was great. The part arrived so much faster than expected. The repairman Darin was knowledgeable, competent, courteous and pleasant. If I have any other appliance issues, I will be calling Reliable! I will also recommend Reliable to my friends. Thank you. Great Service. Fast response times. I had a big problem with a dishwasher. I had put several hours into it before calling the pros. Reliable ended up hauling it to their shop. It took them a couple weeks to fix it. This may sound like a negative review, but it's not. Some repairs are just harder to solve than a simple replacement of broken parts. I don't regret the time or expense. I value good service.read more

Reliable Appliance in Anchorage is wonderful with their service and professionalism. My three year old dishwasher recently stopped working, I called Reliable and was able to get an appointment for the next day. I was given a three hour window of when the repair technician would show up. Paul called twice before arriving, once was in the morning to confirm the my appointment, and the second time was when he was on his way. Paul arrived well within thr three hour window I was given. He was very courteous; introduced himself right away, as well as greeted my two children and dog. Paul was able to quickly diagnosed the problem with my dishwasher, and left a message for my husband who is out of town explaining the issue. Paul's knowledge was wonderful, and his professionalism was highly appreciated. Reliable Appliance in Anchorage is top notch in service and professionalism. Modern web based booking is convenient, and the communication with the service tech was great! Paul showed up within in the time window that was told to me, and he called twice, once in the morning to confirm the time slot, and once again when he was on his way. I have and older washing machine that is giving error messages. Paul quickly diagnosed the problem, and offered suggestions on fixing it. Since the machine isn't under warranty, as I feared, the replacement parts and labor would be too costly, so a recommendation for replacement was given. Paul felt bad, so he thought of some ways to fix it, but our family was already set on replacement before he came. Paul's knowledge is uncanny, and his professional demeanor is reassuring. I called Reliable Appliance to fix my dishwasher and my refrigerator. After a small snafu where my message to them got lost, they got back to me as soon as they found it and scheduled a visit at my convenience. The technician who came to my home was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. Not only did he fix both appliances, he helpfully gave me tips on how to extend the life of both and showed me how to clean the filter on my dishwasher. He explained the "why" behind the trouble with the fridge and how he solved it. He was thorough and fast and very polite. Did a good job. Our refrigerator was chronically freezing food. We called Reliable. They scheduled an appointment, made a robo-call day before to indicate 3 hour time block they'd appear, and repairman called 30 minutes in advance to give exact arrival time. They showed up on the dot, and were very professional and friendly. Repairman determined it was likely a problem with an overly full refrigerator impeding airflow along the back wall. He explained how the freezer-refrigerator worked, advised on loading, and plugged a couple of 3/4 inch circulation holes with putty to reduce freezer-to-refrigerator airflow. The bill was 89 for service call, 48 for labor, and 26 for the putty. Only thing I'd have liked different was to be given option of buying plumber's putty myself and saving about 22 dollars. Aside from that, I couldn't ask for a more professional, courteous service call.read more

Paul was exceptionally courteous and professional. He quickly assessed our situation, provided me with an explanation before moving any appliances and went straight to work. He was spot on in his assessment and was kind enough to allow me a moment to clean out from under the appliance (which seems to not have been moved since its installation). I had the pleasure of having Shannon service my dryer and he was amazing! He called before he arrived. He explained everything that needed to be done and he did it. He took his time to make sure my dryer issues were resolved but didn't take ALL DAY. He informed me on how to maintain and extend the life of my appliances.
