I had a really bad front loader washer leak. Called Reliable Appliance and spoke with manager Ben who really hooked me up. I made the call Saturday and they had an awesome tech, Emmanuel, out to my place by Tuesday afternoon. Emmanuel had all the parts needed and was on his way in a matter of 30 minutes. My washer runs great again and I didn’t need to sell a kidney to get it repaired.

My fridge/freezer went out the day before I left for a planned camping trip, of course! Reliable fit me into their schedule two days after I planned to return to town. Mark was professional and diagnosed the problem quickly. He was able to immediately get my fridge running with a replacement part and a guarantee. Super nice guy and very competent. I had doubts as many of the appliance repair companies we have used in the past were worthless.
Reliable Appliance is the exception!! The technician was someone who knew about washers. He was a person you could interact with. He explained what he was doing all through the process. We had to make another appointment to do the repair. Two hours and the years old Whirlpool was as if it were new. The price was well below the cost of a new machine, even a cheap model. I am thinking the dishwasher might be the next project for Reliable.read more

So found their add on craigslist for reliable used refrigerators, went to showroom, looked around and purchased a used unit.
Double checked with the salesman, "we wont have any issues with this unit correct, its going to Homer in a rental unit" we where assured they go thru all units thoroughly. Got it down to Homer, as we took it off the truck, the cooling fins where literally 95 % clogged with dust and pet hair.
We cleaned it and installed the unit, worked good for two weeks, then started to freeze the refrigerator side. Called Reliable Appliance about issue, they could not come to Homer to fix it , but with a little bit of coaxing, Logan one of the owners made things right by refunding our money. Would have to say that they stood by there warranty, even went a little further to make things Right !! Pleasantly Surprised, thank you Loganread more

Reliable appliance serviced my dryer (cleaned out the dryer vent). A day before my appointment, my wash machine began to leak! So, I ask the tech if it was possible to sort of add an appliance onto my appointment.... He said not a problem and called to onto my ticket. Emmanuel was the technician who had to deliver the terrible news that my wash machine parts were discontinued. He said to call back and make an appointment after I had acquired the part (he gave me the part number so it was easy).
A week later he is back and fixes my wash machine! Good thing, because I was wearing some of my last clean clothes...
I noticed that this company has been able to assist a lot of people during the Covid pandemic. I will speak for myself when I say I would recommend to both family, friends and anyone on the internet reading this review. Emmanuel wore a correct fitting mask and was very professional. I just took my dryer that I've had rolling around in the back of my truck for a week and a half because I didn't want to pay $16 at the dump to get rid of it. --Update-- Once I got ahold of the business, they did good repair work and honored my home warranty for my dishwasher. Ended up working out. It was a pain initially to get them to schedule my appointment, but they called me, apologized, and said they fired the guy who was the problem. My experience ended up pretty good. The service was excellent and highly recommended! Xavier was quick and fixed an annoying dishwasher leak. He was friendly and personable like an old friend, explained the issues and what was needed to be done when he first came out. The tech was very nice and explained how the HE washing machines are horrible. DO NOT buy any LG washer without a center agitator. It does not cover the clothes with water so they do not get washed. It even says they don't get covered with water in the manual under problems. How can you wash clothes if they do not get wet. ALL HE washers only use a dab of water under Normal cycle to save water but that is BS as you need water to wash clothes. It is not "dry cleaning" of the clothes sloshing them around in the air above the water.read more

Everything went really smooth with reliable appliance. I had a very nice woman call me and set a day that worked for me. She told me that my technician would give me a ring the day of and another ring when he was on his way. Paul did just that he was extremely professional and kind. He gave me a call first thing in the morning and let me know about what time he would be by my house. He was punctual and kept to the time he said he would be by I really appreciated that. He was courteous and wore slip covers while in my home and did a great job to make sure no water from my dishwasher went spilling all over my kitchen floor. The technician Shannon was amazing! He was polite, courteous and friendly. Talent that is hard to find these days! However, I will say the I put the claim in with Lowe's and they booked a time, I called Reliable and left a message indicating that I put in a ticket with no call back. Called again the next day and told me they did not have any ticket and were a little rude about it. Keep in mind when dealing with people without key appliances are already frustrated and hearing a helpful, empathetic person on the other end might bring more business.read more

Reliable Appliance lives up to their name: consistent, reliable service. I have had two Reliable technicians, Paul and Ben. Both were punctual, friendly yet professional and solved the problems. They were prepared to get the job done, even when the initial drain hose wasn't the right size they had a smaller hose in their truck that allowed the installation to go along smoothly. The best! I found your business on Home Advisor the morning (June 12) my washing machine quit. The reviews about your service were all good, but the first appointment listed on Home Advisor was a week away. I called Sears (the machine was a 14-year-old Kenmore) and was given an appointment by the week's end. Then that afternoon, I was contacted directly by Reliable and had an appointment the next morning. The technician on the phone thought the problem might be in the door lock, based on the message on the washer. That morning I had a text from someone at Reliable asking the model number from the door, which I texted. Darin arrived as scheduled, with the correct door mechanism for my model, which wasn't the cure; the electronic mother board would need to be replaced. He explained the cost, etc. I asked him to order the part, which would take a week or more to arrive. I was in a time crunch as I was leaving town the next week, before the part would probably arrive.
However, I got a call Monday that the part was in (only 3 business days later). Darin came today (June 20), replaced the part, ran the washer through a cycle to make sure that everything worked properly. Yay, the washer is fixed!
I am delighted on all fronts. I was impressed with the initial outreach and diagnosis. The woman who took my calls & handles scheduling was great. The part arrived so much faster than expected. The repairman Darin was knowledgeable, competent, courteous and pleasant. If I have any other appliance issues, I will be calling Reliable! I will also recommend Reliable to my friends. Thank you. Great Service. Fast response times. I had a big problem with a dishwasher. I had put several hours into it before calling the pros. Reliable ended up hauling it to their shop. It took them a couple weeks to fix it. This may sound like a negative review, but it's not. Some repairs are just harder to solve than a simple replacement of broken parts. I don't regret the time or expense. I value good service.read more

Reliable Appliance in Anchorage is wonderful with their service and professionalism. My three year old dishwasher recently stopped working, I called Reliable and was able to get an appointment for the next day. I was given a three hour window of when the repair technician would show up. Paul called twice before arriving, once was in the morning to confirm the my appointment, and the second time was when he was on his way. Paul arrived well within thr three hour window I was given. He was very courteous; introduced himself right away, as well as greeted my two children and dog. Paul was able to quickly diagnosed the problem with my dishwasher, and left a message for my husband who is out of town explaining the issue. Paul's knowledge was wonderful, and his professionalism was highly appreciated. I would highly recommend Reliable for all your appliance needs and will use them for my future appliance needs.read more

Reliable Appliance in Anchorage is top notch in service and professionalism. Modern web based booking is convenient, and the communication with the service tech was great! Paul showed up within in the time window that was told to me, and he called twice, once in the morning to confirm the time slot, and once again when he was on his way. I have and older washing machine that is giving error messages. Paul quickly diagnosed the problem, and offered suggestions on fixing it. Since the machine isn't under warranty, as I feared, the replacement parts and labor would be too costly, so a recommendation for replacement was given. Paul felt bad, so he thought of some ways to fix it, but our family was already set on replacement before he came. Paul's knowledge is uncanny, and his professional demeanor is reassuring. I will be using Reliable Appliance in the future for any problems I have. I highly Reliable Appliance for any of your appliance needs.read more

I called Reliable Appliance to fix my dishwasher and my refrigerator. After a small snafu where my message to them got lost, they got back to me as soon as they found it and scheduled a visit at my convenience. The technician who came to my home was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. Not only did he fix both appliances, he helpfully gave me tips on how to extend the life of both and showed me how to clean the filter on my dishwasher. He explained the "why" behind the trouble with the fridge and how he solved it. He was thorough and fast and very polite. I will definitely be referring all my friends to Reliable Appliance and be using them again myself if anything goes wrong with my appliances!read more

Did a good job. Our refrigerator was chronically freezing food. We called Reliable. They scheduled an appointment, made a robo-call day before to indicate 3 hour time block they'd appear, and repairman called 30 minutes in advance to give exact arrival time. They showed up on the dot, and were very professional and friendly. Repairman determined it was likely a problem with an overly full refrigerator impeding airflow along the back wall. He explained how the freezer-refrigerator worked, advised on loading, and plugged a couple of 3/4 inch circulation holes with putty to reduce freezer-to-refrigerator airflow. The bill was 89 for service call, 48 for labor, and 26 for the putty. Only thing I'd have liked different was to be given option of buying plumber's putty myself and saving about 22 dollars. Aside from that, I couldn't ask for a more professional, courteous service call.read more

Great customer service on the phone and friendly technicians. Xavior took good care of my house and provided a wealth of knowledge about my appliance. He offered a lot of tips and explained things well. Beyond impressed with their professionalism. I hope to have no need to call again, but we don't live in a world where things just run well forever. Paul was exceptionally courteous and professional. He quickly assessed our situation, provided me with an explanation before moving any appliances and went straight to work. He was spot on in his assessment and was kind enough to allow me a moment to clean out from under the appliance (which seems to not have been moved since its installation). The software allowed me to have an electronic report and he made sure to answer any additional questions I had, while also offering kind and helpful maintenance suggestions. I had the pleasure of having Shannon service my dryer and he was amazing! He called before he arrived. He explained everything that needed to be done and he did it. He took his time to make sure my dryer issues were resolved but didn't take ALL DAY. He informed me on how to maintain and extend the life of my appliances. I mean he even showed me something new about my washer and I've had it for 2 years! Most of all he didn't track snow in my house! That's a biggie. An electrical cord recall by Bosch was made on our dishwasher and Reliable Appliance was recommended to do the replacement cord. From contacting Reliable to completion of the replacement, everything went as promised. Xavier was extremely professional and careful during set-up and clean-up! Dishwasher install without issue - one tiny quick fix leak after he left but otherwise great job! Refrigerator door flap repair took some ingenuity (find a similar part on an old fridge and modify it to fit) and works great! Definitely recommend.read more

I will definitely use Reliable Appliance. Over the phone, Jessica gave me honest feedback, a perfect answer in regards to an estimate, on the low and high side, and helped me make a decision on whether it would be best to fix my washer or buy a new one. Living 4 hours outside of Anchorage makes repairs like this have an additional cost.
